The jacket Fabrication Package Manager is in charge of the management and the execution of the assigned package in the project in accordance with technical and planning constraints.
He implements the planning established by the Project Manager and develop all required KPIs to have a long term vision of the planning.
He / she must ensure that fabrication is performed according to Contract requirements.
He / she organizes and follows the work assigned to the Project Fabrication Engineers working on his package.
Lead the Project Fabrication Engineers;
Define the priorities for the fabrication activities in his package with the assistance of the Fabrication Project Manager;
Ensure Subcontractors, if any, are aware of Project planning and requirements;
Contract & Budget;
Follow-up of fabrication budgets (man-hours) and productivity in his package;
Control operational interfaces and performance of Subcontractors, if any, to enable compliance with budget and with fabrication schedule;
Identify Changes in Contract and determine cost / time impact to keep and improve Project results;
Organise the fabrication activity of the Project with assistance of the Project Fabrication Engineers and in collaboration with the Fabrication project manager;
Co-ordinate activities of the QC department, production engineering and project fabrication superintendents assigned to the project;
Implement the Project Fabrication planning;
Monitor the follow up of Project materials and materials free issued by Client and Subcontractors;
Schedule the production according to reception of material;
Ensure the material Traceability is implemented with the assistance of QC department;
Monitor the progress and the productivity by producing KPIs and propose / implement measures to reach intermediate and final objectives;
Identify the risks for the package not to meet the contract requirements and propose corrective measures;
Ensure that Project Quality requirements are fulfilled
Maintain Safety awareness on the Project
Procedure & Reporting
Review Fabrication procedures;
Review Project documentation : Welding books, ITP;
Review Project procedures : QA plan, HSE plans;
Follow up of review cycle of all project documents;
Prepare weekly / monthly reports;
Review / perform structural analysis to support fabrication activities;
Report safety issues and incident if any.
High School Graduate (Mechanical engineering or equivalent).
Basic structural design capabilities (RDM);
3 Years minimum in Fabrication Activities;
Experience in Project Management ideally in Offshore Business is a plus;
Fluent in English
