Portuguese and English speaking brand and Retail Supervisor is required to work for our client in Angola. You will ensure superior presence at point of sale within the Angolan market for all beauty and fragrance brands

Key Responsibilities

  • Make sure that brands are well presented in terms of :
  • Stock on the shelves
  • Visibility within the store
  • Positioning within the store
  • Monitor retail standards and ensure brand principles and global strategies are correct as per the requirements specified on planograms and marketing books.
  • Ensure brands merchandising tools and point of sale material are effectively utilised.
  • Co-ordinating of local brand merchandising ensuring in store promotions and window displays are put up on time and represent the brand in the correct manner.
  • Conduct follow up meetings with customers and send through reports to head office reporting structure to be discussed.
  • Monitor, record, analyse and report on market activities, store activities, trends and make appropriate recommendations.
  • Assist in competitor analysis taking photos and gathering information on competitor activities within the market.
  • Conduct regular marketing research on brand performance and / or / against competitor brands utilizing tools such as questionnaires designed for BA’s and requesting reports from the retail partners.
  • Assist in BA motivation and create strong relationships with the BA’s.
  • Assist in co-ordinating training of BA’s and liaising with the retail partners regarding the training both on counter training activities and formalized training events
  • Assist with advertising, promotions and public relations activities including events and social media.
  • Key personal skills

  • Work well without daily supervision.
  • Work as the remote satellite office / custodian of brands within the market.
  • Ability to communicate regularly with head office.
  • Ability to implement Area Manager’s Strategies as well as uphold the company culture within the market.
  • Be a self-starter.
  • Be driven, results orientated & ambitious.
  • Be able to multi-task and manage multiple projects.
  • Have excellent communications skills - be able to communicate well in a very straightforward and assertive manner.
  • Have good people skills a lot of time will be spent with retail partners and store sales staff. You are required to understand their personalities and accommodate them.
  • Be curious - always interested in what is happening around you.
  • Develop your Excel & PowerPoint skills.
  • Working Hours

  • 3 days a week Preferably Wednesday, Thursday and Friday - some extra hours may be required at certain periods within the year from time to time.
  • These hours are dependent on the following :

    o Brand market visits

    o Promotional / launch activities

    o Training

    o Special occasions such as Valentine’s Day and Christmas time

  • Hours 8.00am to 4.30pm 8 hours a day and 24 hours a week
  • Full time position to be offered based on performance.
  • Remuneration

  • Basic Salary - $800 per month
  • Fuel and vehicle running expenses - $250 per month
  • Mobile phone allowance $100 per month
  • Training
