About this role
General refurbishment / repair of all hydraulic components and complete disassembly / test reports
Inspection of disassembled components to determine suitability for use in line with manufacturers drawings / tolerances.
Cleaning and preparation of components prior to rebuild.
Rebuilt and assist in testing of refurbished units as required.
Be familiar with measuring equipment and the correct handling and storage of workshop fluids and gases.
Be available and flexible in assisting in other company workloads dictate.
Be responsible for the clean and safe area of work. HSEQ Responsibilities HSEQ responsibilities
It is mandatory that the incumbent is familiar with the Company's HSEQ Policy and takes an active role in the compliance and improvement of Sparrows Integrated Management System.
The incumbent must report any incidents, near misses, actual or potential problems with products, services or systems to their Line Manager.
The incumbent also has legal responsibilities under country-specific health and safety legislation to follow all Company processes and procedures and familiarise themselves with the emergency response arrangements applicable to them.
The incumbent is also responsible for the health and safety arrangements of subordinates (if any) and for any persons visiting them while on the Company premises Qualifications & Experience Qualifications and experience
Mechanical or Hydraulic apprenticeship.
Good communication and organisational skills
Understand and be able to comply with all HSEQ processes
Experience in Pumps and Motors, including trouble shooting and repair
Experience in servicing and repair of offshore and marine equipment
Good leadership skills
Ability to work on own initiative or as part of the team
Adaptability in an ever-changing environment
