The Aker Solutions’ Subsea team based in Luanda, is an innovative, dynamic and highly competent team that provides advanced subsea systems and services for use in water depths down to 2000 meters.

Responsibilities and Tasks
Working offshore to carry out subsea commissioning of Kaombo production and water injection VXT.
Working face to face with client to support all commissioning activities in time critical environment.
Assisting with offshore FPSO contractor to resolve issues affecting Aker equipment and operations.
Use of Aker software products to monitor and / or fault find topside / subsea issues across the Kaombo FPSO’s and 6 subsea fields.
Carry out any required updates to Aker topside controls equipment and software where and when required.
Accurate reporting of topside hardware / software core issues through punch register for Aker MCS system and reporting back to Aker CofE to assist in resolution.
Accurate reporting of topside / subsea issues on Aker and 3rd party vendor instrumentation / equipment through SQFs (Service Query Forms) back to onshore base.
Carry out detailed fault finding on Aker and 3rd party vendor equipment through information provided by onshore support / vendors through to resolution of problems.
Qualifications and Personal Qualities
5 to 10 years’ work experience, familiar with offshore production operations. Preference given to candidates with a strong network at Aker Solutions Controls Center of Excellence;
Offshore experience, work as a software / system designer, and Control Module Assembly & Test Engineer are considered advantages;
University degree in an engineering science to Bachelor’s level (BSc) in relevant controls (electric, mechanical / hydraulic, mechatronic / robotic, or hydraulic) disciplines.
Preference to Master of Science (MSc). For the right candidate, consideration will also be given to 10 to 15 year’s actual relevant experience coupled w / HNC / HND completion;
Work language is English. Fluency in English, written and oral communications, is mandatory;
High-level IT skills;
Good knowledge of customer service and support practices and services;
Very good knowledge of SCM, MCM, & SRM functions, controls and program logic;
Sound knowledge of IT networking;
Sound knowledge of Communication protocols with Modbus TCP / IP, CAN and RS422 being major advantage;
Sound knowledge of controls system architecture;
Experience in scheduling and monitoring tasks;
Knowledge of Master Control Systems (MCS);
Knowledge of emergency shut-down (ESD) systems;
Knowledge of industry codes, standards and specifications
